Escape Rally: Fort Casey April 21-26, 2024 (Sun-Thurs) - April 25 is Thursday, the last full day.
It is almost time to book a site for the April 2024 Ft. Casey (Washington) rally if you don’t want to take a chance and wait for September 1 to use your senior off-season pass. (Last year all sites were booked by then, but some openings did occur later.)
The rally starts Sunday but some people arrive earlier and some not until Monday. The main days for group activities are usually Monday-Wednesday. We will likely have one or more potlucks or other special dinners, possibly a fort tour, and for those with dogs, we try to do an off-leash park since the state park is on leash only.
Booking a site: you can book 9 months in advance for Washington state parks, which means you could book up to 10 days in advance of your departure day (max 10 days allowed) 9 months BEFORE the first day of your stay. So for example, to attend April 22-26, you can book on July 22.
(Or you can book July 17 and later (at least one month later) cancel any days you don’t plan to use. There is a penalty for reducing days which is 10% plus a change fee if done one month after booking. It increases if you have held the reservation longer than one month. However, booking this way will give you access to the best sites.)
Sites: there is only one section for camping and our trailers can fit on any of the sites. Some have hookups, the majority do not, but most of the time there is plenty of sun for solar.
I just booked site 13. You can reserve a site at https://washington.goingtocamp.com/. and then please return here and let us know who/what trailer/what site.
