Waiting in line

One option is to get it built and pay for a couple months' storage. Then go get it when the weather's better.
Per escape last Q&A a couple days ago longer then 30 days storage is no longer available. I guess they rented space next door but that business was sold so they no longer have that storage space. From the agreed day of pickup you have only 30 days to pickup or move your trailer elsewhere at your expense.

Issue #2: registration in Calif.: you have 20 days max. once you return with your new Escape, to CA. Historically, by far the best place to register it is the DMV at Mt. Shasta City. Exit 738, Lake St. off of I-5.
If you have a check with you, you can walk out with your temp. reg. and a license plate with that one stop. They know what they're doing.

(We didn't know, so we used our local DMV: 3 visits totalling about 8 hours of our time. Ugh.)

Thanks! This is helpful information about a logistical detail I had yet to give any thought to.

I'm certain we'll meander a lot more on our way home than we will on the way up. We tentatively plan to spend at least a week on shakedown and visiting friends well within a day's drive from the factory before heading back to Northern California.

Hi Steve and Jean. I’ve done a stretch of the North Country Trail in my part of the country but probably haven’t put as many miles on my shoes as you have. The appeal to me with the Escape was in having a little less extravagance than the big trailers while enjoying a home away from home in some situations. There is definitely more minimalism to be found than Escape but I think it’s a very comfortable balance.

Cutting in line?

We just went from "waiting in line" to apparently "cutting in line"!

We've been asked to complete configuration within a couple of weeks from now to secure an early April delivery.

Yikes! Lots of decisions to make... Fast.

That is why we are here, to help you spend your money and make the right decisions....

The same with us, we jumped the line, will be picking up our 5.0 around March 31 2023 about a year early! Very excited, but not so excited about the recent price increases

Lately I’m stunned when I shop, Dollar General…

Throw away aluminum foil Turkey cooking pan, basic, no wire handles-$5.35-before tax.

$1.25 at Dollar Tree. Dollar General is NOT a dollar-type store, as you've found out.

The latest draft configuration we got from ETI seems to have pushed up our delivery another couple of weeks into mid-March.

I'm joking that this barely gives us time to pack for the trip to pick it up!

Signed off!

Decisions deliberated...
Provisional plans propagated...
Dollar dispensation dithered...
Choices considered...

Configuration committed.

And finally:

Signature submitted!
