Hello, I'm Arnis. A fiberglass camper has been in my plans for years, and we were down to the last couple of months before our new 5.0 was finally ready when Perry Butler listed his highly upgraded unit for sale. We jumped the gun and bought it and we love it. What I didn't expect was a new friend and mentor in the deal!

I'm still a couple of years from retirement, but have some time to hit the road this year. So if you see a 5.0 with 4 solar panels and a red stripe towed by a red Ram, come over and say "hello." Connie & I would love to meet you!

You got a great deal on a 5.0 with all the goodies and made a friend. Have fun with your adventures. I also have a few years until retirement and have not pulled the trigger on a 5.0. Perry's escape was very, very tempting. Welcome to the site.

Welcome Arnis. To have the privilege to buy Perry's modified 5.0 is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He made a great trailer even more outstanding with his all his additions. Enjoy your adventures and feel free to ask any questions. There are many knowledgeable folks on this forum including Perry who still plans to hang around.

Welcome to the Escape family. Perry did a great job on his trailer.

Have fun and post pictures of your adventures.

first adventure

It cleared my 9'11" door by about 2". Connie got up on a stepladder to check as I backed it in.

That is an awesome garage! Congrats on the 5.0. We just got ours a couple of weeks ago. Like you, we are really looking forward to getting out on the road.

Thanks, I love it too. The previous owners added it to the two small garages on the other end of the house. This is my elderly mother-in-law's and adult daughter's home too, so we utilize all of the space.

By the way, an RV can park beside it, with potable water and a 30-amp service pole. So if you have an Escape camper and need a place to park for a night or two between Louisville & Cincinnati, come see us! And bring a fishing pole. We have a little pond stocked with bass & catfish. I might even 'let' you drive that zero-turn mower! ;-)
