There has to be a better way. Seems like every time I go to register a new product with Dometic there is an issue. Either the Model # does not exist or the serial number does not match. With the a/c these # are located under the roof top shroud and Escape filled them in, guess what, they do not match. I myself wrote down the refrigerator model and serial number, again no match. I give up.....
Perhaps if Dometic would print these numbers on labels that one can affix to their warranty card, this would eliminate these problems.

so are you saying that with regard to the Dometic AC the serial# and model# as labeled by the manufacturer are no longer visible once the AC is mounted on the roof?

that is what their website says, Escape filled the info in but the website would not take it. I finally called and spoke with someone who was able to drop a number and get the a/c and refer registered.

I wouldn't expect a label for an air conditioner to be visible with the shroud in place; it should be on the chassis of the appliance, not the shroud which is routinely damaged and replaced.

Dometic refrigerators have a clear label inside which shows the required information. One challenge is that the model code (e.g. RM2454) is not the product or "manufacturer" number (a nine-digit number in mine), and there is also a serial number (probably an eight-digit number). This issue may also apply to other types of Dometic product.

A picture of a fridge label is worth nine words.
Note: this one made in Sweden.
