Hey everybody,
So we are just back from picking up our new 19 and taking it out for it's inaugural first run. Let me say this, what a fantastic unit.
Reese and Tammy were fantastic getting us setup and educated on the unit, course it was 20 degrees out, so it might have been an excuse just to get out of the office! We picked up our unit on the 15th of May, and pulled it down the road to Camperland RV park. Its a full service park, so we were able to test and run through all the systems before the big pull back to Alberta. We then packed up and pulled out and headed to Jasper for a couple of days. The fist pull Chilliwack to Kamloops is a bit of bag and the tow unit (04 Honda Odyssey) had to work a little bit, the drive from Kamloops to Jasper was a breeze!
Having one of the first 19's on the road is a good news bad news situation I've been finding:
Good News:
* Fantastic upgrade from the 13 '74 Boler!
* Easy to setup and take down.
Bad News:
* No privacy.
*** We had looky-loo's in Chilliwack, Jasper and getting gas in Edson!
I joke about it being bad news! It's been amazing the response from the people we've met who have been dying to see the 19's. I am looking forward to our next camping trip. For those cyclyst's out there, we are riding in the MS Bike Tour - Leduc to Camrose, and the unit will be out there. So if you wanna have a look, you'll probably find me half-dead outside drinking beer! That is June 13/14 weekend.
I would post some pictures of our first camping trip, but from a technology perspective it was a bit of disaster! Forgot the batter charger for the camera, went to 4 stores, couldn't buy new one. So bought a new camera, and then couldn't install the drivers (work laptop)!! I'll take some pics of it parked in the driveway, for those that want to look!
Cheers,
