Hi All,
Well today we traveled via the Ambassador program to Iowa Dave and Rita's home to see their Escape 21 trailer this afternoon. They were very cordial and welcoming and helpful! It was a great time and now we know what an Escape trailer looks like. This is the first one I have ever been in or seen up close. As a matter of fact I can't ever remember seeing one before on the road. I think this visit seals the deal and we are going to order an Escape 23! We were very impressed with Escape quality and design. Iowa Dave and Rita showed us all the details and answered all our
questions!
Thank you Rita and Iowa Dave you were most helpful!

Mike and Diane..
Congrats on your decision to pursue the E23!
Our situation was very much like yours. The only Escape we were able to see locally before making our decision was a 21C.
We liked the way it was put together, and with no hesitation, we ordered an E23 F1. Picked it up last October. Very pleased with our decision.

We met Iowa Dave and Diane at a Niagra Falls rally. They are some of the nicest people.

Yeah, we bought our E21 (used) after getting a couple walkthroughs at FG rally's when we still had our Casita. First time my wife walked through a E21 at the King City rally, my wife was set, we knew what we wanted. The other trailer she liked was the 25' Bigfoot, and those were just too big.

Hello Lyle,
We have a very good friend who moved from our home town to Embarrass, Minnesota a few years ago when he retired. I’ve promised to visit him a couple times. Maybe this will be the year. If I’m in your neighborhood I’ll let you know. Hope you’re dry and warm up there in the tundra. Keep an ear out for the wolves.

Is the quality of the new ones as good as the older ones? I've gotten to see two of the Escapes but they were both older..

I do not know. This was the only one we have ever seen. I hope someone else gives an answer.
I don't know that there is an answer. I've owned both a Gen 1 and a Gen 2. You'd have to be a lot more specific with the question to get an answer that means anything.

In general terms, the frame and shell are good in both eras, excepting the early 3" frames. After that it gets murky. Appliance short comings have been varied and many, but that's true of any RV since the choice is so limited.

I looked at two escapes. A 12 year old 17B and a10 year old 19. They both looked amazing for how old they were. That is what sold me on Escape. I figured if these looked this good at 12 and 10 years, then they must make a good product. I took delivery of my 17b inventory unit in January. I have not had a chance to take it out yet. It's sitting on the driveway waiting for Spring. One of the ambassadors (Gary) came by to see mine and was impressed with some of the new standard features. Many things that were once options are now standard. The overall construction has not changed in terms of layout and build quality, from what I can tell anyway. The real test will be my first trip out.

You may want to try ETI again to see if any new E23s have appeared closer to you. We are very pleased with the quality of our 2124 E23 F1.
