We’re Mike and Sandy from central Florida. After months of planning and contemplating we finally pulled the trigger and ordered our E23! Someone else posted that the planning was part of the fun. I couldn’t agree more. Now I can’t wait to get the notice that they started our build. More anticipation. This whole process was a surprise adventure for us as early this summer we hadn’t even thought about buying a new camper. We have a 2021 Tab 400 that we thoroughly love and have traveled to 46 states in. We went to a Tab rally in Ohio when Nucamp announced that they were coming out with a larger camper with a walk around bed they now call the Haven. This started us thinking about how nice that would be. To have a little more room and a walk around bed. It got us started looking at alternatives when we discovered the Escape. We drove to Jacksonville/Retro Renos to look at one and were instantly in love. We looked at some other campers but we were in love with the Escape. Finally we decided to quit dreaming about it and started planning. What a feeling that was making the initial deposit. Can’t wait to get the first picture.

Welcome to the forum. There's a lot of experience here and many posts about a variety of topics. Any questions just ask away. Except what color fabric etc. you should choose. :)

When you start receiving photos it's always appreciated if you could post the them. They sometimes show items that are hidden in the finished trailer. There's an old thread that starts with "It's Friday....." that many build photos have been posted on.

Congratulations! I just picked in my E19 last month. I had a '23 Tab 400 for three seasons (and an '18 320S for five)!

Did you choose a half color shell?

Thank you. We did not choose to do a half shelf color though we really think they do look great. Probably would have gone with a blue or dark green bottom half if we had. We decided to just go with the forest wrap instead. So you made the switch from Nucamp to Escape as well. It was tough. We had our 400 for four years, put 34 thousand miles on it and never had a problem. They’re well built. Just didn’t like the new Haven as much as we like the Escape.

Congratulations! and welcome to the forum.
A few suggestions
If you got the spray foam, ask them to take photos on rack before they spray. This can be really helpful for future repairs if you need to locate something under the foam.
I wish i had got some extra paneling for future mods. They will sell you a sheet and cut it in half and put under mattress. Depending on you finishes you will not be able to find it in the U.S. sure, wish I could find some maple.

oddly I like to see the new camp heaven. what was it you dint like? I very interested in there heading system. I know a fellow that has a tab and i was impressed with the windows and heating system.

Thanks for the advice. Actually it wasn’t so much that I didn’t like the Haven. I just liked more things in the Escape. The Alde heating system is one of the things I really loved in our Tab. So quiet and heat perfectly distributed. The air was ducted as well. The Haven has a dry bath bathroom that is really nice. I think it takes up too much room though for a camper that size. That left a smaller amount of space for the actual living space. And the open space concept they went for meant a tiny refrigerator with freezer space smaller than our 400. We liked the extra room in the Escape and just felt more comfortable than when we were sitting in the Haven. I also like the dual axle, the Haven is single.

Can't wait to begin receiving photos.
I don't believe that anyone has yet shared build progress pics for an E23. Enquiring minds want to know see!

It'd be greatly appreciated if you would consider starting a thread titled "E23 Build Progress Pics" and post yours as you get them from ETI.

Yes, I know that there's a quite old and long-dormant thread of build pics for earlier models, I'm suggesting the modern E23 deserves a thread of its own.

TIA

EDIT - I've started an E23 build pics thread inviting any / all E23 owners to participate ...

Congratulations on your new E23!!! I believe y'all may be the couple we met in Skidaway Island State Park, Georgia after Christmas. We had the 5.0 from Texas. I know you will enjoy your Escape adventures as well, they are great trailers. We have over 18,000 miles on ours and look forward to many more.

I used to love seeing the "It's Friday..." photos.
Me too, but then there was a time when you could also look at someone's mods almost every day but that era seems to have gone. Maybe there's so many options now that folks don't feel the need "to make it theirs".

Okay. When I do start getting pictures I will post them in the new thread. Sandy already has plans for when we do finally get it. I’ll post those pics too
