What did you do to your Escape today

I sealed off the inside top of my refer behind the instrument panel with some foam pipe insulation I had laying around and I installed some rv gutters over the escape window, the refrigerator lower vent cover and the street side baggage door. Pictures tomorrow as we are having a t/storm now.

I downloaded free Pandora radio into my cellphone this morning, setup some stations that I like, plugged it into my trailer stereo system and it works great! I'm camping right now. Then I called SiriusXM radio and cancelled both of my radio subscriptions effective today. This will save me $36 per month, $432 annually. I had my cellphone playing music, running as a wifi hotspot and timing my coffee brew all at the same time.

I installed custom shelves per Myron's instructions. Of course, I only did this in my imagination because 'Past Tents' hasn't been built yet.....:)

Jim - are you finding the RV gutters to be necessary, or is this precautionary?

I added a TV mount to my "to be installed pile" while waiting for my 21.........

I spent plenty of time stuck in my memory bank remembering camping last week at the Oregon Gathering in Ten Forward. Sure made it tough to come back to work. WHINE!

Hmm...lets see.

A few more hours for Donna to get unstuck from the memory bank.
A couple more days of nasty "work".
A trip to Ten Forward, clean up, organize, store, spruce up, get pretty.

The way I figure it Donna, we will be seeing Ten Forward photos in all their splendor in about 3.25 days...give or take a point! :)

I cleaned ours up and put it back in its' storage spot after having come back from sockeye salmon fishing near Port Alberni. Came home with our limit of 16 fish! Yummy, yummy!!

Hotfishtacos: ....but don't you have to pay for data to run Pandora on your phone...or do you only run Pandora when you can connect to a network?

Towed my 19' at +70 mph for 2 hrs through rush hour traffic on I15 in Salt Lake City and was still the guy holding up traffic.

Don't know how your system works, but anything I do other than make a phone call or text message requires data and the data is limited by my plan. I pay extra for data on my phone.
I tried watching a Stanley Cup final an ran out of data before the second period ended.
I have to keep my Sirius XM radio because most of the places I camp don't have WiFi and some don't even have cell service. As far as I know, you can cancel service and then renew it for the camping season ( which I never get around to doing ).

Ain't that the truth! I grew up near Salt Lake and my Dad liked to take me there to "learn how to drive". Once I figured out that the right lane was for 70 MPH, the middle was for 75, and the left lane was for going too fast for your own good, I was fine. When I moved down south it took me a long time to get used to slow drivers in the "fast" lane.

Sorry about that! Yes I believe the data feature is used for Pandora. I have unlimited data on Verizon and forgot....

Precautionary…...
When I opened my refer vent to verify my baffles I noticed how dirty it was inside and could tell that rain was getting into the cavity. No harm as it is sealed and there is a drain, but the vent cover is on the high side of the bottom half and more prone to rain running down the side and behind the vent. Thus the gutter. Note, you have to install it upside down because if you install it right side up you may not be able to remove the vent cover. The vent cover lifts up and out. Pictures tomorrow. Then the escape window to try to keep the water out of the track, I previously drilled some drain holes also, again pictures tomorrow. Finally the baggage hatch as it may be subject to water, the gutter should help out down there. Still one more piece to put up on roof and extend the awning gutter back and forward to keep water off the side windows.

Best check what Verizon means by "unlimited data". They may have a different definition than you do. I know that people have run up against this with other companies.
