What new standard/options would you like to have?

I got to thinking last night, what new standard features I would like to see and started a list:
1. better table set up
2. better window styles, maybe white on the inside and outside, and awning style
3. updated upholstery,
4. better sink style with the faucet inside the sink to keep the water off the counter top,
5. elimination of those window blind protrusions
6. illuminated storage/cabinets
7. different awning, maybe like the Airstream with the metal protection while stored

What are your ideas?

3. Two step access step
4. Top step to loft in 5er that opens
5. Adjustable shelves in cabinets instead of fixed placement
6. Hepvo valves in place of sink traps

Yes, I miss the low point drain and all the other ones are good except #2 the shut off is available now, IINM as an option.

Low Point Drain indeed. I got the toilet shutoff installed on our new unit. Will have to see about the other features when the rig arrives.

Option of a heated floor would be interesting for the winter spots when hooked up to shore power.

Stuck at work for a few hours and I’m bored.
1) Dual speed furnace
2) Dual pane awning windows in the loft of the 5.0 TA
3) 16” rims
4) Glassed in raised blocking on the roof where available, for solar panels.
5) Rock shield for the 5.0 TA
I’m guessing that part of the mold changes will incorporate some sort of raised blocking for the solar mounting. Scott

Definitely not blonde oak. Blonde oak uses either pickling with a white glaze or bleaching. ETI interiors are a natural oak color. I've never liked the blonde oak finish of yesteryear, too bleak and cold, it doesn't do the oak justice.

Personally, after years of dark teak interiors and seeing the dark dungeon like interiors of some older style trailers, I quite like the present finish. No matter how many choices, which in itself would be very costly, you'll never have enough choices to please everyone.

Me neither. And the wood look interior clinched it for me. I prefer a warmer look than naked white fiberglass.

One other choice of cabinet would be nice. If you look at housing trends, that colour of oak (or simply oak itself) hasn't been used for a long time. If you think of your trailer as your home away from home, it would make sense to have a more modern choice available. Doesn't have to be dark teak, there are many choices out there.

I've only seen the pics so far of these trailers, but by far the wood is what turns me off. So if we're discussing fantasy options, I would vote for that.

We do a dozen kitchens a year, plus other cabinetry, and trends are to dark wood, or light painted cabinets. Personally, I am not a huge fan of the dark stained wood, usually maple, as you might as well just have a dark brown/black paint.

I know Escape has had requests for other woods, and mostly dark woods too. Personally, I would much prefer a lighter wood in the trailer myself, like maple. I do not mind the oak though. Though not used a lot in cabinetry any more, it is still used a lot in furniture. What I like to do is to mix woods, like having walnut accents with maple, like in this router table I built a couple years ago.

As I have mentioned here before, the issue for Escape is having then to have double the product on hand, and in order to make it feasible, they would have to be certain it would get lots of use.

Obviously, I too would be a fan of another wood selection, though I would still be happy with oak.

Yes, maple is nice. I have a carpenter friend who camperized a Sprinter van, and used maple similar in tone to that pic. It looks amazing.

Yes, the cost would be more, but it would be worth it for me.

What do I know but darker colors will make your space smaller . Lighter colors open the space up . I really am happy with the light oak or I like birch also. Pat

I like some other woods that are darker. Yes, they may make a space look smaller. It isn't actually smaller though! Our 21' looks so much bigger than the 19' partly because it is and partly because of the layout making it look so. Even if we had darker wood, it would still seem much bigger. Darker wood, or lighter, gives you a change when having had an Escape.

Far as oak goes it's not oak tone or color I think is tiresome, it's oak grain. Leave oak for McDonalds interiors. How about some cherry?
