What to store in extra tube?

I ordered an extra tube and then put a dump hose extension in it. This was before I realized that the tanks will never drain with a 40ft dump hose connected. Not unless the drain is down a good slope, otherwise I'm just gonna end up with a 40ft hose full of grey water, or worse!
Nah, water runs down hill and it doesn't take much. But it's not unusual for folks needing to lift up the hose and 'milk' the discharge down the tube when the sewer connection is high.

Haha. I knew someone would disagree with me. Having had to do it once, including all the messing around with a detached heavy 40ft hose getting it to drain, never again. Next time I’ll just move the trailer closer to the drain so I just need one hose.

Where are you guys camping or in what scenario would you ever need a hose that long?

In my 15y of camping as an adult, we have never been more than 6-8' from the sewer dumping station hole.

Exactly. Happened only once to me when we were ‘niave’ new campers. At our full hookup campsite the Sani dump drain was mysteriously way back from everything else, but I still hooked up using my extension. Come dump time I realized too late the hose was also going very slightly uphill. Not good.

Anyway I’ve had a few of these now and come dump time I’ll hitch up and move the trailer to a more favorable position before connecting a hose. So I now have a spare hose I’ll probably never use.

Ah yes, I can see it in full hookup sites where you may want to not be parked directly over the amenities.

We don't camp any of those but the odd electrical site we do, the panel can be 40-50' away or further.

We carry 20 feet of Camco RhinoFLEX drain hose in one tube and two ancient heavy duty aluminum extendable tent poles and a small bag of tent stakes and rope in the other. They come in handy for setting up a shade tarp or 2 when needed.

If I did want to add a second tube to my 19E, are people buying premade storage tubes with ends or building from parts?

My stock tube measures 67" with the caps. But there is 6-8" of space I could swing on the passenger side for a longer tube

Bonus points for Canadian links to purchase.

We ordered our 2nd tube as an option on our 21NE build in 2023. I'd contact Escape and see what they’d charge you for one pre-made to fit your 19E.
