Where's your Springfield Pedestal?

We got our 21NE F1 with the Springfield uninstalled and now that all the electrical mods are done (for now:), we're thinking of mounting the table. I've put it in place unattached and moved it around to try to find the "best" position for us, but I'm wondering what is the "standard" position when installed by Escape.

If anyone has a standard 21NE install and could measure the distance on the floor from the front and sides of the benches to the middle of the outer rim of the Springfield base I'd greatly appreciate it.

Or, if you put it in yourself, where is your Springfield Pedestal?

Thanks in advance!

Hey RambleOn,

I had the Springfield Pedestal in my 2023 Escape 21 ne that ETI installed. I will take a few photos this weekend and post them here for you along with the measurements.

If you get a answer from some of the other folks here, I'll still post them for anyone else that needs them.

Cheers to ya.........and Happy Trails.........Jack

Hey RambleOn,

As promised here are some photos of my dinning area showing the mounting holes for the Springfield that I originally had in there. Hope this is of help for you. I think you'll be able to zoom in on the tape measure to get a closer look.

Cheers to ya.......and Happy Trails..........Jack

Hey RambleOn,

Here are some photos of my dinning and the different configurations that I can set it up as.
However I am using the Lagun table system now. I remade my table as the original one was way to large for our use.

Enjoy...
Cheers to ya......and Happy Trails.......Jack

Hi RambleOn,

My Springfield is up in the attic these days, I found that I had more versatility with the Lagun. I made a smaller table than the original one, it was to big for my liking and decided to scale it down a bit. Still have it too, up in the attic.
The extra cushions and the extension I made works for us, and you can move the table over towards the door and still make a twin size bed for a guest without removing the table. Pull the extension out and remove the table and you have a "U" shaped seating area for 6 or 7 guest to sit around for the evening.

All in all just some ideas on how we use that area in our Escape, it works for us.

Enjoy....

Cheers to ya......... and Happy Trails........ Jack

I also moved my Springfield post back a few inches. My 5.0 doesn't have the U shaped dinette. I wanted a smaller table and reused the slide mechanism. I bought the table top from an Etsy seller and centered the new table top on the post. Works much better for me. I did install a few new threaded inserts and used a few of the existing inserts. I will keep the original table top for next buyer and give them the option of which way they want it.
