Yes, I saw a video online on how to add an Easy Start (or the like) to a Houghton AC unit. Looked involved. Lots of RTV caulk, dissemble the external fan assembly. Quite a bit of work. Hence, I was wondering if most purchase the Houghton with or without the SoftStart. Augmenting afterword does not look fun.

Yup lots of work, every screw, bolt, nut has silicone on it. Soft start was not available from rec-pro when I purchased. I would do it again, in a heartbeat.
