Maybe he didn't want to wait (schedule) to have a custom ETI trailer? Airstreams are available at dealers. I could buy a brand new one today about 15 miles from my house.
That tells me something. I passed an rv dealer in Texas a couple of days ago that must have had 50 or 60 airstreams sitting on the lot.
Perhaps that was all of Thor... which currently shows eleven brands on the their website, although I thought they had more at one point. For one thing, they have collapsed at least two previous brands (including mine) into their current motorhome division (Thor Motor Coach); the same may have occurred in trailers, although of course Airstream remains distinct (even if they do now have Class B motorhomes that are nothing like the aluminum trailers).I know I was surprised at the very big number I saw.
