windows on 21

The emergency exit window by the dinette is an awning window on our 21' with double panes. Optional bath is up and down.

Rear window on all models of Escape are fixed. Sliders let in dirt (grooves fill up) and leak back there on past models so ETI dropped that version.

Looking at the 21 options list it seems that the bedroom window is now fixed if you want thermal.

Yeah, that's strange. I wouldn't want a bedroom window that didn't open, and I certainly wouldn't want an opening bedroom window that wasn't thermal. Maybe they changed suppliers?

It's on the front. Need a rock guard. Also possible leakage problem with an option?

No, that window is listed separately. None of the rock guard windows are thermal because the cover is recessed into the window frame. The window in question is the one on the side of the bed.

Hummmm. I have two fixed windows in the loft of Ten Forward. I wasn't about to fight the condensation problems I've experienced for years in my Scamp when camping in the cooler/colder seasons. BUT, I also have that huge egress passive vent right above the bed. Turn the MaxxFan on low to exhaust and plenty of fresh air comes in from the passive vent. It's not stuffy at all. YMMV

It an optional window being referred to, so I took it to be the front one, my mistake. Someone has said that they are thermal sliders beside the bed, if you get thermal, but maybe not. Or not any more.

Right. This one is clearly a slider, and clearly thermal. Something must have changed.

If I had a 21' trailer that was a future build, I wouldn't wait to be surprised. I'd ask! Unless you really don't care. :ermm: And some folks may not...

That would mean that no sliders are thermal in the thermal package, would it not? There are others in a 21'. Doubt that is the case.

I see the deal. They are saying that it is $800 for a slider that is not thermal. It is $1000 with a fixed thermal window in the sleeping area. The question is whether the builds until the 2016s have sliders that are thermal. So do you folks with 21's now have sliders that are thermal in the sleeping area?

That comes from the website so that is what we expect to have, however, what present 21' owners have may or may not be that. The photos are often not changed when the products change. I would like to know what the recent pick-ups have.

All my sliders in BlackJack are thermal except for the bath. I think you are misinterpreting the option list, the window in the bedroom is a slider, thermal or not. The front option window is not thermal.

Our 21 was completed in Dec. 2014. On our build sheet we selected the Extra insulation and Thermal Windows ($1,000) option. The window adjacent to the bed is a thermal slider. I do not remember an option for a fixed window.
