Wish I had taken a photo of the rig at Icelandic State Park in ND last weekend. a transport and parked behind it a huge triple axel 5th wheel and behind that a 30odd foot trailer and no other truck around. They were parked in a double occupancy pull through. Since you can triple tow in ND I figured the transport pulled them both.

In walking around the park about 150 sites occupied and ours was the only FG.

We tow our 2010 19 ft Escape with a 2012 Highlander with tow package (5000 lb) and the standard weight distributing hitch. Does well for us. Towing at 62 mph or so, we get between 13.5 and 16.5 Mpg. Better on straight unleaded than ethanol blends which I don't buy unless I have to. Pulls the passes ok, just gotta use your head going up and watch the rpms. Coming down I like the shiftable side of the tranny. About 20,000'miles towing in the past two years. Nothing but Mobile 1 full synthetic for about 96000 miles on a 3 year,4 month old rig. Engine has never been cold, that's what retirement is for.

The 4Runner is well within the tow ratings for a 19', and we all know about Toyota's safety record
