Here are a few comments and pictures about five campgrounds we stayed at five BC campgrounds last September. We’ve benefited from other posters doing this so here goes.
Overview: We traveled between Sept-4 through 18th and had good weather. Roads and campgrounds were not busy. Lots of retired folks at the campgrounds. Our data plan helped us avoid fast food restaurants, since we could search out restaurants and read on-line reviews as we traveled.
Apple Beach, Oliver, BC - three nights
Situated beside a lake in the middle of BC wine country north of Osoyoos. Nice, clean and quiet camp ground. We had a wine tour (
vineyards) that picked us up/delivered us at the cg. Lots of CG rules. Not particularly child/pet friendly. We stayed three nights which was one night too many. We enjoyed listening to owls hooting in the willows. We were woken on morning to a woodpecker banging on the roof.
