ETI installed 2 Interstate deep cycle batteries on our 2014 17b.
Here is a link to Interstate's FAQ Interstate Batteries FAQ
for anyone who has questions about battery maintenance (see question 2).
We just pulled our trailer out of ETI where it had been stored over the winter and I was wondering what we needed to do in order to properly maintain the batteries.
My knowledge base of all things electrical and batteries is extremely low. So I am posting this for my fellow forum members who have a similar knowledge base.
At 7:30 A.M. The solar panel shows 13.8 which is good. Yesterday we had lots of rain and some hail as we backed the trailer onto our the driveway ("backing up" is another of my deficit areas). So the batteries seem to functioning well after our WestcoastBC winter.
Battery water levels seem fine. Just covering the cells. Liz bought some distilled water to have on hand.
Next weekend we take her out to Hope BC for a few nights. Camping at Coquihalla Campgrounds. If it rains all weekend we have books and movies. If the weather is decent we will head up to the Othello Tunnels and up to the Canyon to Hell's Gate.
