Interior paint

Is the interior finished with an epoxy paint? Has anyone attempted interior painting? Is epoxy primer necessary or has the interior been treated enough that a proper bonding paint is all that's necessary? I'm assuming this is epoxy based fiberglass.

I just found out that the interior is that finished insulation board material so that would change the type of paint to be used I'm guessing. What would that material be?

I'm slowly answering my own questions. Research first ask questions later. Da. Vinyl I see now that I read a bit further. Still have the painting questions though. Thanks.

Check out the link Ross sent you. Sarah painted the interior of her Escape.

If you wanted to paint the vinyl liner, just use a good quality primer followed by a good quality latex paint. It will hold great.

I actually don't mind the stock colour of the vinyl at all, a nice neutral beige colour.

I like the light beige/off white vinyl as well. When I see small trailers with darker walls, it just makes it look even smaller.

I cringe whenever I hear thoughts of painting an Escape interior, and I'm a painter. Seems to me the only way it could come out good is after seriously labor intensive masking, and the careful use of a spray painter.

I too cringe.
Brings back memories of my great aunt. She painted everything, including the tool box that an even further removed relative brought with him from Norway. She ruined a lot of collectables and antiques.
