As far as I know a stove cover is not required.

That's so strange. I remember being told that and I even made a note of it. I'm going to the factory again, probably on Thursday, so will ask again about that. I don't want it and I hope they can leave it off, even though my build sheet has been signed off on. So, thanks Donna and Tom for your comments on it (and anyone else that commented on it that I don't remember).

I'll report back on that feature.

Pretty sure we paid extra for the stove cover. The stainless burners also come with a back panel and side panels and there is a thin covering on them that needs to be removed before use.

I have a two burner stainless stove top, did not come with a cover. Pretty sure is wasn't suppose to have one.

While all things change with time, when I bought my 17B in April, 2011, the stove cover was a $90.00 option...

Thanks to all that post their pictures. While I don't comment on each one, they are all unique and enjoyable to see.

For sure ETI's custom service is great! Just got of the phone finalizing build sheet. A round table, four drawers in kitchen cabinet, sink in centre of the counter. YEPPEE

Apparently, only things that are not 'photo worthy' - must be true because the inside looks pretty darn good too! I pick her up on the 12th.
Yay!

next batch and a new stock flooring

I got the latest 3 pics. Some more wiring going in. A bit of wood reinforcing.

Also got an email from Sarah, they are looking at a new style of stock flooring they want to incorporate in the near future, same brand and quality but a different shade, looks a bit darker to me.

Since mine is in production they wanted to put it in if I agreed. I have the stock formica and flooring.

I said yes. Attached the pic they sent me.

Looks good. I think that pattern in the vinyl will hide dirt ( and tree sap, etc. ).

Hey, that's cool! She told me today they're looking at new flooring that was similar to what's already used, but hadn't made any decisions yet. So, you might or might not have the only one of the one-of-a-kind stock flooring without paying for custom flooring!

Still too much brown for me (I detest brown). We're going with black. But I do like the pattern idea of that flooring.

Be sure to take lots of pictures when you get it so we can see it all completed with that flooring.

I may be the first test case? Will see. I'm more of a 'form follows function' type so seemed fine to me. Like said, it will help hide dirt, etc

Got my orientation set for April 26th, 1:30pm so will be in storage awhile but I'll take and post more pictures once I get it.

Looks great Jeff! We may have to plan a visit to see you when it's sitting in your driveway (or wherever).
