I phoned Nk’Mip and suggested they might allow doubling up. They said no, but did allude to the fact that there would be some additional spots opening up and if anyone wanted to go (Myron) they keep phoning and asking. They suggested that theee spots would be available in the next day or so,

Of course, look me up.......or in your case....down.... BTW, I just realized, this will be our 4th rally attendance in 3 different Escapes and our 2016 Escape will also be in attendance with its new owners John and Marti from Minnesota.

Omay and I are experienced hikers, but we don't know Canada very well, having done just one trip there together--Banf and Lake Louise after visiting the showroom at Chilliwack the year before last.
Would be interested in some hiking if there is something interesting there!

Sounds like a great idea! I didn't sign up for the wine tour either but would love to visit wineries, breweries, etc. See you in Osooyos!

Hiking or mtn biking, we'd love to join others or be oriented in a direction. We are doing the Fri wine tour so Sat is when we are available.

Try McIntyre Bluff , it starts at Covert Farms Estate Winery. It is about 3 1/2 hour hike. Great views at the top. It is located just north of Oliver. I can do this hike and I am not a hiker. The winery is great you can sit on their shady patio and share a bottle of wine for the same price that they sell it for. Do this hike early it gets hot there.
For a easy bike ride head towards Oliver and turn right on Road 22 park st Osoyoos Okanagan Trailhead. Start ride along river, all flat to Oliver. When you get to Fairview Road turn left and at the top of the little hill is a Fireball Bistro. ( do not drink too much there is still the ride back. About 26 km round trip. Another great bike ride is Okanagan River Path starting at Okanagan Falls . This ride is also 26 k round trip all beside Skaha Lake and all but two very small hills This ride takes you just pass the Penticton airport at the end of the first 13 km is another pub restaurant for a cold one before the ride back. The two bike ride paths are also great for walking.

I will be bringing my mtn. bike and hope to get a ride or two in. There looks to be some trails near the campground. We are on the Thursday wine tour, I believe.

The McIntyre Bluffs hike is very enjoyable, we did it at the Rally two years ago, well worth the effort as long as it’s not too hot!

I plan on bringing my folding bike and ride around the Nk Mip cg, btw it is really big. I too enjoy placing a face with a members screen name and talking with with other owners.

Friday night Escape will provide the entertainment and food, Saturday evening is the pot luck dinner where you are supposed to provide food for others. Saturday morning is a joint effort- see here http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f1...ast-15127.html

I second this choice as a great bike ride along Skaha Lake.
The trail is part of the Kettle Valley River rail trails.

And don't forget to stop at Tickleberry's in Okanagan Falls for a giant ice cream cone. They make most or all of the ice cream themselves. You will need the exercise after eating one of their cones.

Has anyone heard of the forest fire near Osoyoos? Heard about it on the news last night. It’s near Highway 3 I believe.
