Thanks Ron. I have all kinds of audio pieces of paper, but I really don’t like video and avoid it any way I can.

That would be much appreciated. We won't be at the rally but I have some chips to fill as well.

Ron, I’m sure ETI could provide some cut out scraps from widows to work with. I have several scraps.

Hello Ron.
Yeah, I remember when there was a list posted by Reace and Tammy to let us know where people where coming from. There was even a list of what kind of food was being brougth to the pot luck.Maybe the rally takes to much time to organize as it seems to get bigger and bigger.Just my two bits.
The weather is improving in Vancouver. Hurrah, the daffodils are finally in full blom, the tulips a little longer, cherry trees should not be far behind.Grass to be cut?
Allan.
Enjoy the spring time.

I'll be there and you missed me last year. Well, maybe it was due to an error by me it was missed.

Yah, and it took your brother about a nanosecond to move into the prime campsite that you had reserved. And he beat us.

We were slower this year not getting notice that it opened up for reservations. Oh well, lots of fun will happen. Lug nuts will be checked for torque.

FYI, ETI sent an email today giving an update on the Escape Rally. We won’t be making that trip this year, but for those interested they still have room for you:
We are gearing up for "The Grape Escape" Rally!

If you would like to join us between May 23rd - 26th 2024 please reach out to the Nk’mip RV Park, Osoyoos BC, book your sites and and let us know your site number and registration number.

Total Rally Capacity: 160 trailers
Signed up: 136 trailers
Remainder Rally Capacity: 24 trailers

Here is a warm welcome to join us and book one of the 24 remaining sites. It will be a first come, first served basis.

Warm regards,

Samuel

Did not get an update from Escape, but thanks for the info.
136 trailers booked so far, just interesting to know the numbers.
See you there, happy trails to you, until we meet again.
Be safe.
Allan.

virgins to the rally,

Of the sites left, what are good, looks to be some lake front left, just asking, we booked site 200 on the boulevard just to secure a site. Didn't know there were specific sites for the rally. Please help.

Well, just got an e-mail that the Rally is fully booked now. Those last 24 sites went quick! To the folks attending, have a good time and let the rest of us know what we missed, please!

Well, this is a bummer - we responded to booking a spot in Nk'Mip to the March 19 email that Escape sent out, saying they had 24 spots remaining. And this evening we get this:

"I want to begin by offering a sincere apology.

Here's what happened:

As of February 25th, we had already reached 160 trailer bookings for "The Grape Escape" Rally. Unfortunately, we were not aware of this until today, as I had not verified the numbers with the campsite earlier on.
We had planned for a maximum of 160 trailers (around 300-320 owners), taking into account everything from purchased gifts to Escape-provided meals, as well as space availability. Regrettably, increasing this capacity is not an option.

What this means for you:

Due to this planning oversight, we will be unable to accommodate your full participation at the rally. Anything related to space capacity (including Trailer Talks) or pre-planned items (including gifts and meals) will not be available to you.
While I understand this may be disappointing, I still encourage you to consider joining us at Nk’mip RV Park, Osoyoos BC! You are most welcome, and there will be activities that you can still participate in, as they are not space-restricted. This includes trailer tours, walk/hike and bike as well as wine tours, with the latter one being organized separately. Plus, we would love to know that you are there!

What we will do:

There are a few bookings that came in prior to yours that may not see firm confirmation or may experience cancellations. If this occurs, we plan to move you up in sequence and will notify you if a spot becomes available. If a spot does become available, you would have full access to all activities.
However, if spots do not become available, we kindly ask you to be mindful and refrain from participating in activities other than those mentioned earlier. Unfortunately, we won't be able to manage otherwise. Thank you for your understanding.
……

Again, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and I hope we can still make your experience at the rally enjoyable. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.

Warm regards,

Samuel"

This is a little disappointing, to say the least - they had almost a month to confirm numbers before sending out the March 19 email saying they weren't full. We are cancelling our reservation, as the point to join the rally was to participate in things like the dinners and the talks - and now we would be a third wheel. Yes, I know Samual says we could just sit and wait to see if anyone cancels, and then we may get a spot – but I don’t want to waste time for a maybe.

We had planned to sign up for next year, which we will do when the dates are announced and Nk'Mip opens up their reservations later this year - just got excited with that March 19 email that we could go this year since my time off from my job actually worked out for this.

Hopefully, for future rallies, they will learn to check their numbers before sending out emails, when clearly a check would've saved this embarrassment and disappointment.

Looking forward to hearing and seeing the pictures from May!
