Hubcap Grill ....
Used that little grill " thingee " that looks like a hubcap today . Seems to work just fine on the little butane stove .

Have to ask. How is this 'grill' an improvement over a fry pan?

Don't really think a grill is always an improvement over a frying pan , certainly wouldn't be using this thing at home- this was just to try out the thingee ..... But this does seem to work like a grill for outdoor cooking if one doesn't take a bbq along ....haven't seen anything smaller on which one could grill ...easy clean ceramic surface ....smokeless because there is water in the ring under the grill ...I can see using it for fish ,chicken ,bratwurst grilled veggies ...not sure about a big thick steak ....

I was wondering about the "smokeless" claim since smoke is where a lot of the flavour comes from when grilling or BBQ. I'm currently smoking out the neighbour ( ribs ).

The smokeless thing is for people who want to grill indoors ....on a range .... however if one where to use this thingee without the water in the ring it would likely become "uncleanable" drippings would burn to a crisp ...it does hot .

Used our little hubcap grill the other night at home. We were in a hurry and didn't want to light the barbecue (plus it was ... wait for it ... rainy outside!). Cooked two marinated, 3/4" thick, boneless pork chops. Took about twenty minutes and they were surprisingly good. Slightly charred on the outside, tender and moist on the inside. (And, to answer an earlier question, yes, there is smoke.) We decided that, for weekend camping when we didn't want to lug around the WeberQ, we could use this on the camp stove. And it was easy to clean!!
