RV insurance
thinking about switching from State Farm to Progressive for my RV insurance. My state Farm is only 144 per year but it doesn't cover much. the progressive is full replacement and 1000 deductible. Its 456 per year. What do others think?

I think you should do it. I plan on having full replacement coverage, especially since insurance companies don't seem to value molded trailers very accurately.

FWIW, I have yet to have convinced State Farm how expensive the Escape trailer is. I even told them just google Escape 19 and its the first thing listed.
Its not in their system, so they don't care. If you have State Farm coverage, good chance your coverage will not come close to covering the cost.
Some get Good Sam coverage. Good Sam hounds me as it is just for roadside assistance so I don't know about doing more business with them.

insurance
I just insured mine now so I won't forget to do it next month. Good Sam/ General, new trailer for 5 years, replacement value, $1000 deductible, declining each year. All the usual in Az for $500 per year with no bad history of record. Next year I will look a little harder but I do like the road service even though I have not used it.

Good Sam was full replacement insurance and it was under $200 per year.

Progressive Insurance
Since we have the VIN and a pickup date in 3 weeks, it was time to get an update with our Progressive Policy. Our 1996 Casita 17' SD was only $99/yr for full replacement. The Escape 19 will be $360/yr full replacement, $1000 deductible, $5000 personal effects (that is odd, our boat also has $5000 for personal effects and there are many more personal effects on a 42' sailboat). I think we even have trip interruption at $2000. With a little prodding, Progressive found Escape Trailer Industries and believed our factory price without demanding proof of price. We have 4 autos, 2 motorcycles, a trailer policy, and have been with Progressive for over 10 years, YMMV.
