Getting my grill set up for the quick disconnect option and plan to remove the grill's built in regulator (easy mod on a weber Q2000).

Can someone who recently got this option confirm the "sex" of both ends of the hose that ETI provides? I had a recent email exchange with ETI and they are telling me that the 12' hose has male connections on both ends. However, previous discussion on this thread leads me to believe that its male on the trailer end and then female on the grill side.

Thanks in advance!

I didn't receive a hose with my quick disconnect. Was ETI suppose to supply a external hose?

That is what I've been told by ETI. Note the following excerpt from the "options" page for the 21': "Exterior Propane Quick Connect with 12' Propane Hose and Adapter (Low Pressure Connection)-"

Did you look everywhere, it's usually in a cupboard, drawer or outside hatch.

Cheers

That would work too, for just the cost of a couple cheap parts. I have a bottle tee (about 25 years old but working), but the hose used with small bottle fittings on the end that I could use if not using a small bottle itself.

It really is rare that I had to do that though. Well, except this entire year when I will not be using a LP DC at all.

We got a QC hose with ours. It had a male QC for the trailer end, but the other end was a threaded connector. I used that hose for our propane firepit and made it a permanent connection to the firepit on the threaded end. Hose just coils up on top of the firepit when it goes in the storage bag.
Bought 2 Camco QC hoses to use with the Weber Q and the Stove. Those have QC connections on both ends of the hose.

I have never come across a propane hose. At this point, I'm just going to let it go. I've got two and really would not have use for a third.
