Sorry - cut-and-paste typo!

The intended list:
  1. positive supply from battery positive to inverter positive input (thick)
  2. negative supply from battery negative to inverter negative input (thick)
  3. make sure existing connection between batteries (if dual 6V) is thick
  4. protective ground from inverter to trailer frame
  5. plug whatever you want to power into the inverter

Thanks to Alan for catching this!

I am not technical. I admit all of the detailed advice and counsel I've been getting from this thread just wasn't processing in my head..... until yesterday. Then, with a POP and a flash, it all made sense. (!How does that happen?)

Posted here is this latest, final picture of corrections done to my inverter wiring.... thanks to you guys. Think I got it right.

If anyone else now sees and understands this (simple) wiring issue better, well that's what it's all about.

Yes! Great job Myron! That's exactly how I would have wired it. I know a few of us are going to sleep better. Threads like these are a great resource to get your immediate task accomplished, but also for all current and future owners that may be troubleshooting, doing an install themselves or just curious about technical matters as they apply to a trailer.
