Boy, that last picture is real close, I have seen truck stops with more clearance than this cg. I do not like where your door hits the person next to you.

It looks closer because of the angle, but yeah, they are close. The trailer next to us is about 15 feet away.

What a nice surprise! Hugh and Denise Currin came by to say hello! They're camped here tonight as well. We toured each other's 19. LOVE what they did with the dinette cushions! Lots of great ideas and mods. Noticed Hugh has also added the Trimetric Battery Monitor. Just the nicest folks! Thanks Hugh and Denise for your hospitality.

Thanks for letting us tag along on your trip. Wonderful pictures

? do you take any precautions around trailer security when you leave it unattended at a campsite. We are thinking about coupler locks etc.

Larry

We lock everything up, but to be honest we really don't worry about it. Just take the normal precautions. RV folks are some good people for the most part.

Robert-

Looks like the RV to the right of you has a nice HF antenna. I'm gonna have to get one of those.

What are they used for Mike? Shortwave?

That guy is probably a ham radio operator. HF is roughly shortwave, but he is probably transmitting and receiving, not (just) listening to shortwave broadcasts.

I'll toss out some thoughts while Mike is eating dinner...

The term "HF" is short for High Frequency. And looking at that antenna as best I can, I might take a wild guess it is designed for 20 Meter wavelength ( or equivalent 14 Mhz frequency ). The primary purpose of an antenna like that is long distance 2 way communication between licensed Ham operators. 600 to 3000 miles is typical, with wide variations due to a multitude of factors. The antenna in the photo is probably has a very narrow bandwidth which makes it a poor candidate for general Shortwave listening.

If you dare to ask more questions like that, Mike and I can fill pages...

What a great trip and wonderful photos! It's going to take a few days to get over your "trailer lag" when you have to get back to normal life. Keep on posting, it's been fun!
