SUV hatch clearance with power tongue jack

Did a search for this but only seeing discussion about tailgates clearing the power tongue jack. I would like to know if SUV hatches usually clear the power tongue jack?

We plan on towing our 21NE with a 2006 Toyota Sequoia (first generation Sequoia) and have a large dog that will need to be able to jump in the back. We have a baby and toddler in the 2nd row so there is not going to be a way to slide the 2nd row to let the dog in through the side.

I'm aware of the trailer valet manual jack that uses a drill as a way to operate it with power. That's my second choice if power jack doesn't allow hatch to open.

I have a Honda Pilot with the electric jack and it wouldn’t clear to open. I had to change to a Bulldog hitch which is about two inches longer and now it clears to open. I have seen here on the forum where a few have installed the electric jack facing the side so it clears.

We have a Toyota Highlander and 19’ trailer with electric jack and it clears. We use the FastWay weight distribution hitch.

Thank you for the info, that's good to hear that the Highlander clears. And I will research turning the jack sideways. Haven't heard of that before.
