What? That was a photo out my back window.

Okay, maybe I took the photo at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

For me once was at the Hammer Museum in LA. . Walked in a room and it stopped me in my tracks . If anyone has never stood in front of a Van Gogh there is no describing what they make you feel . There is so much emotion going on . The paintings seem to be moving . Needless to say had to keep going back for another look . Painting was on loan and didn't know I would ever see it in person . One of those moments I will never forget . Enjoyed seeing it again. Pat

All of these locations except for Fredericksburg are desert, mind you, or semi-arid, and Fredericksburg isn't a tropical rain forest. And it's not "monsoon season" either. I'm detecting a pattern here. So I am suggesting to our California members that they petition their governor to sponsor me for a while in their beautiful state. I will solve your problems. Your drought problems, anyway.

Mike,

Are you sure you're not still in Texas? They're saying my area will have 20" of rain total for the month of May. Smashes every record they've ever had. Typical May totals are about 1-2". Looked at the extended forecast and it's rain for the next 10 days. Sheesh!

I thought the rain today sounded a little odd on the roof of my trailer...

Don't know about Osoyoos but 1" of rain overnight in greater Penticton area (30 mins north). Another inch forecast today/tonight.

Go see if California will pay you to camp there Mike. :-)

All of Western Canada can certainly use a bunch of precipitation. Maybe not the coast though.

I always thought Don McLean's song [Vincent, based on Starry Night] captured the mood of the fabulous painting so very well. Who can listen to that song without visioning the painting?

True, but genius is too often a close cousin to madness. There are too many examples.
