Amen to that. (Except I spell maneuver differently down here. ) I remember at first turning my head to look back--I could see over my pop-up--and having my hands at the top of the wheel. What a bunch of mental gymnastics that was...especially if someone was saying, "Turn the wheel the other way. No, the OTHER way." Having confidence in yourself and your rear view mirrors is the ticket.

I spent about 10 minutes with my dictionary trying to spell that word and the spell check here claimed it was wrong every time. I think it's British.

I just assumed it was the Canadian spelling. But after reading your comment, I looked it up and it's definitely British. So now I'm wondering how Canadians spell it? BTW, I had to look to make sure I was spelling it correctly in the American version. A good laugh for me.

That's one advantage of being Canadian -- we get to choose which spelling we use and nobody calls us on it...
