Me too. WD40 is a poor lube. The spray white lithium is handy to apply.

I just posted about that on another thread, will just cut and paste here:
I got the E2 on my trailer. Just picked up and drove back a few weeks ago. This is my first travel trailer and first wdh so nothing to compare to. Only towed a small utility trailer before
It is nice. They set it up there. On the trip back I didn't notice any sway. Hookup etc is fine. I did get the electric jack so easy.
When first left after picking it up I did notice some porpoising but thinking that was just the hitch weight being off? We just threw our gear in and took off. Once the tanks had water in them and gear more organized that seemed to mostly go away.
Once I get it all set up and organized I'll get it weighed so I know total weight. I ordered one of the Sherline tongue weight scales so I can check it any time and adjust

A belated thanks Jeff for the great info.
I'm looking forward to the Fastway e2 WDH when we get our 2017 21'
If i recall correctly, for backing up there is no separate sway bar to have to remember to remove. For me, this is a big plus.
With our Casita I would often stress out, a bit, during the first day out (when I am extra tired) that I'd get to the campsite and forget to remove the sway bar, back up, and damage it.
and
Numerous people who are much smarter than me have strongly encouraged me to get the power jack installed by ETI, to make hitching and unhitching easier.
I will get the power jack.
and
anyone else now using the Fastway e2 WDH?

Correct - the spring bars slide in the brackets on the trailer frame with substantial friction, so they do the same thing as a friction-type sway control device (or "sway bar"), without a separate device.

I have the Pro Series WDH that ETI also sells. It doesn't have a sway bar that needs to be removed for reversing, and I've never needed a sway bar. Costs less than the other offerings and does the job.
Sometimes the simplest, most basic design, works well, at the least cost.

The Fastway e2 was specifically recommended to us as "best" for us with a 21' by ETI
I choose to trust the trailer manufacturer.
Also
I have done tests with our Casita with and without a sway bar, and I prefer how it handles with a sway bar. (Or, I would imagine, win a function that does what a sway bar does)
Horses for courses, of course.

The traditional chain-style Pro Series WDH can be used with or without a bar-style friction-based sway control device (and Cequent / Pro Series offers this WDH packaged with a sway control), but the Pro Series design doesn't have any effective sway-damping friction. The E2 is designed specifically to provide this type of sway control.
The chain style does tend to pull the trailer toward straight, which may or may not reduce sway; the E2 doesn't do this.

I agree. In this case, the E2 is actually simpler than the Pro Series, since the E2 omits the chains, the E2 brackets are no more complex that the Pro Series snap-up chain brackets, and the heads are comparable.
I see no good reason for the E2 to cost any more than the Pro Series... other than the reality of competitive pricing, which is that if people find a product more desirable they are willing to pay more for it, so the price is higher. At eTrailer.com the Pro Series and Fastway E2 are similar in price; the large difference in Escape's prices presumably reflect distribution issues in Canada, rather than the complexity or manufacturing cost of these things.

I don't know anything about the E2. My point was that in eight years of towing my 17B with my RAV4, including a couple abrupt lane-changes and dozens of semis passing me, I've not experienced sway.

I have never had a sway problem with my 2005 Sienna either and I have the same set-up. (I also have the electric jack which makes things so much easier. )

I've never had a sway problem with my 2004 Sienna and 17' trailer either and I don't have any kind of WDH or sway control device.
I think these RAV4 and Sienna examples are good illustrations of what can work, but the question is about a 21' behind a Tacoma, which is different in every detail.

Which model of e2 hitch?
Does anyone know which model (or weight rating) of Fastway E2 hitch they are using with the 21's? Are they the round tube or trunion models?
Thanks,
Randy

Also, if I get the E2 WDH and the power tongue jack, could I also use the Jack-E Up? Will ETI install the Jack-E-Up? If not, is it difficult to retrofit?

It's this one:
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...-43X7NOYPVbIpg
The 6000 lb model I believe.
The jack-e-up can be used with a power jack no problem. I have no idea if Escape would install it. You could ask, but of course you'd have to supply it. If it were me and I wanted to do a power jack and a jack-e-up, I'd probably do it myself. You'll need some form of quick connect for the power cable so you can disconnect the power cable when removing the jack. Installation of both components is a snap.
