Good news, bad news

I was not looking forward to cutting down my Anderson Levelers, but discovered this morning that they actually fit between the wheels as is. Then I went to put the continental spare tire cover on from the 5.0 and found that it is about 1 1/2 inches too big. I checked and the 5.0 tires are 225's and the 5.0.2's are 205's. Time to order a new tire cover. It was a pain getting that bird centered.

Hi: captmath... I would go to Lowes and buy some sill plate gasket (Foam) and wrap the tire twice around, if needed, to take up the excess space.
As for centering the bird well you're on your own there. Alf

I probably wouldn't have thought of that, but it makes sense: the original 5.0 had larger tires than the other models due to its higher weight, but the 5.0TA has twice as many tires as the single-axle original, so it doesn't need larger tires than other models.
