Hi: I'm feeling really left out here!!! Those of us smart enough to own a 5.0 don't have to struggle with this question. We sleep with our head on the pillows!!! Alf

5.0 owners are forced into conformity. You are oppressed by your Escape overlords, unable to express your own sleeping preferences. You must rise up from your north-south beds! Oh, wait... if you did that you'd whack your head.

Age is getting to me, I forgot about that thread.

Alf, I sure have put an option in there for the 5.0 owners, as I guess you could choose to sleep with your head towards the door too.

When we get our 19 in September we will be sleeping with our heads on the passenger side. The reason being is that my wife must sleep on the right side if you are facing the headboard of a bed. After 29 years with this arrangement it is non-negotiable. And I want to sleep on the outside because I am an early riser. Otherwise we would probably prefer sleeping facing the door. Once you close your eyes does it really matter?

I find swinging my feet around to exit is easier if it is by the curbside kitchen wall cutout vs the street side refer wall.

If you are fine with the nightmares that ensue, worrying because you can't see the person who is breaking in by picking the lock on the door, then no.

In our bed at home, my wife is on the right, but in the trailer, or just about anywhere else we sleep, we switch it up. Whoever is in bed first goes to the outside. Even though I am always the first up, there is usually some clamouring over each other during a nightly trip. We are still quite young (55), so this dance is not a problem for either of us yet, and in fact sometimes...........

No doubt about that. 2 dogs ago I had a GR, and we were broken into twice. Never a sound out of her, she probably just thought they were there to play.

Anyone contemplating breaking into our trailer while we are sleeping in it would think twice once they saw the trailer walls rhythmically bulging in and out and heard the accompanying loud snores of its occupant. They would think they had been incorporated into some kind of Stephen King horror movie. My wife is a real loud snorer.
