Finished the topper for our cubby storage; decided to make it solid cherry, then covered with 2 coats of clear spar urethane. Not sure if I want to add the edge welting that ETI uses or not; maybe just on the bathroom side.

Charlie, Nice job. My original suggestion to Reace was for storage, about as high as yours, a counter top, then some hanging space above. I think you're doing it. It looks like you're coming out to the bathroom door. Is that correct? If so, your cubbies must be a bit deeper then the original design? I've come to like Reace's design, but love seeing the original thought come to life. Can you give us a picture from farther away?

I'm back far enough from the bath door for it to open fully; I lined up with the edging of the door framer (couple pics show the supports and trim/edging the panel slides into.) The cubbies are 5 inches deep, except for the bottom one - which has no back side due to the outside wall curving in toward the floor.

Reace is going to send me some of the brown welting/trim used between the bath wall and the outside so I can trim out the left side of the topper. Maybe it may become one of his options down the road. I didn't think their version fit our needs.
