You made my day, Dale! Your plan and execution is exactly how I added the door to our 21, right down to the T-braces for the hinge side support. Charlie Y. was kind enough to build and ship a 30” box for the original/standard door and a 12” box for my new door. We store supplies, dry food, and wine in the 30” box, and use the 12” box as a dirty clothes hamper. The ‘sleds’ allow the boxes to slide in and out, yet provide enough friction to keep the boxes in place during transit. I highly recommend this project and the boxes for any of the Escape models!

Still need to do a little sanding and finishing before I snap the trim on the bottom, but you get the general idea. If I had had all the tools gathered together before I started, the whole project would have taken less than an hour.
Unfortunately, Jan I do not have photos. The construction is exactly like Dale shows earlier in this thread. I will have the trailer home next week and will photograph and post the set-up on Wednesday. With the 30” box and sled in place, there is almost 13” from the inside of the new door, until it abuts the side of the 30” sled. This leaves room for the 12” box to slide in perpendicular. Sorry for no current photos, I am remiss

No problem. I took a look at Dale's and I think I have a pretty good idea how you both set things up under the bed. Thank you!!
