Bathroom Door Retainer

After being warned about the potential to have the bathroom door swing forward and damage the hinges while traveling, I made up a small retainer in case we fail to latch the door or it magically comes open by itself for some reason. I drilled through the latch with a 1/4" drill and made the retainer from 3/16" dowel. The string is super-glued into a 1/16" hole. It hangs out of the way when not in use. It really shouldn't take much to retain the door if it doesn't get a chance to start swinging forward to begin with. Hopefully the fun of making this will help remind us to be sure the door is latched and secured, reducing our odds of the hinge problem.
