Re: Fridge Size

Ron,

We've got the 19' and we actually opted for the smaller refrigerator because we really wanted the 3-way. After having a 16' Casita with a 1.9 fridge, I find the 3.0 just fine. While camping for 6 days, we did keep wine bottles and extra soda in a cooler, but found we could store most everything needed in the refrigerator.

I shouldn't probably post this photo, as our custom cabinet setup was a bit of a headache for Reace, but I really like having the fridge, microwave and large cabinet all right there.

The 3.0 on DC does pull quite a lot more power than the old 1.9, so it is important to turn it off (or turn on propane) if you're parking for a lunch break or extended rest stop.

Re: Fridge Size

Thanks, Cheryl. That makes me feel better. The 3-way feature is very appealing becuase of the ability to travel with the propane shut off at the bottle.

Re: Fridge Size

It has a regular oak door, like all the upper cabinets. It's great space for kitchen stuff, spices and such.

Re: Fridge Size

gbaglo....

I saw your interview in the Meet the Escapee......you answer some question about your fridge.....when you came back from Oregon and your ice creme had nice and sooth looking.........you drove back 4 hours with your fridge at OFF?

Another question is......when you drive with your fridge on propane ON.....do you experience that it came OFF often when on the road

Re: Fridge Size

The fridge with ice cream in it was turned off for about five hours. Only thing in the freezer was the ice cream and a couple small freezer packs. I DO NOT drive with the propane turned on. I know that some do, but the experts advise that the practice is dangerous, particularly in the event of an accident. There are laws as well that prohibit driving through tunnels or taking ferries with the propane turned on.
