Latest Mods

We’ve installed a lot of mods on our Escape 5.0, but the two that stand out are an additional gray water tank and a black tank rinser.

The new gray water tank is piggy backed to the original tank. We now have 39-gallon capacity, which is great for our boon docking trips. The sensor reads the water level with no problem.

The black tank rinser is very easy to use and we don’t have to drag a hose into the living area of the camper or hold a hose over an open commode. It cleans the tank so much more efficiently and there's no odor.

Re: Latest Mods

Nice work, both look like factory installs.

Hi Vicki.
Nice installs! I want to install a black tank rinser in our 5.0 as well, and am looking for a place I can access the tank from. What storage compartment is that? Is it the one you access from the outside left-front corner?
Thank you,
John

I had missed this post. I have a black tank rinse kit I need to get installed too.

I also like the idea of the additional grey tank, something I may consider into the future. Ours after 4 nights usually is getting fairly full. We will do our dishes in a dishpan outside then dump into the trees to save capacity.

Jim, if you're going to toss dish rinse water into the woods why not just drain grey tank into the woods. No need for two tanks!?!

I actually have done just this when I had a trailer parked like a cabin out on our rec land. I usually did it just before we left. Throwing it out further and in different spots is the preferred method these days. Now that we have a nice easily towable trailer, it always comes home with us. We usually just pull into our hay field instead of hitting a dump station on the way home.

I have no beef with that.
