I did with mine and I moved the table about 2" aft so that it doesn't rub against the front vinyl.
But now I'm thinking, using the same screws, short that they are, the table may not be secured as before. So I have been towing with the table down, but I'd like to tow with the table in the upright. Do you think with the new floor set up you and I have that the table bottom is securely attached to the trailer floor, not just our new floor. I would hate to find the table lying on it's side upon arrival with the floor torn up. I'm contemplating adding some bungee straps to secure the table from moving while in the upright position. What are your thoughts?

Jim, seeing the new flooring was 3/8" thicker, I went and got some screws 1/4" longer, #12x1". They seemed to bite quite good. I too moved my table rearward about 1/4" or so, as it was rubbing, more on one side than the other, and is now about 1/8" clear of the walls.

It is actually quite tough, but like any cork flooring is susceptible to damage from point loads, especially if it is sharp. This is nothing that could not be sealed with a dab of polyurethane though.
I won't be wearing my stilettos inside, for sure. Besides, they make my head hit the ceiling. I will still wear them around the campfire, baglo says they make my legs look better.

Well, it passed the first 2 night test, and was definitely warm under foot. We are quite happy with it, and lots of people really liked the look of it.

Can real linoleum (made of cork, and not the vinyl flooring ETI refers to as "linoleum") be installed during the initial build - for a price of course?

I do not know if they can do it or not, but it is very expensive to have custom flooring. ETI pays next to nothing for their vinyl (about $6 per square meter, spring 2013) so the buyer picks up the difference plus, I assume, a stocking fee. Last year I paid well over $400 for custom vinyl for my 15, not realizing at the time how little ETI pays for their stock vinyl. I love how it turned out but it was a bit of a sticker shock at the time.

Jim, that looks really good. You know that you're going to have to start packing some of your tools when you show up at the rallies

Since this thread has been brought up again, I will just mention that our flooring for a 21' was closer to $250 rather than $400. We saw flooring in someone else's that looked great for that price and after checking some others that did not look as good, we are getting it.
I purposely did not look at more expensive flooring --- at least not for more than 2 seconds when I saw higher prices. The woman we used at Pioneer thought that what we had picked was nicer looking than others she showed us. You can get much more expensive flooring if you want and it will probably wear longer, as that was the big difference in pricing, it seemed.

How much time do you spend pacing in the trailer?

Glad you could make a decision...we didn't seem to be able to at Pioneer. For $250 you probably did good. We were looking as we didn't like the new stock vinyl compared to the 2010 17B's and ETI couldn't get the older version anymore.

We had the older in our 19' and also liked it better, however, we were going for a completely different look with grays and blacks and stainless this time. It happened that another Escape owner had picked some gray flooring and it looked better than anything else we were seeing.

Jim
Found this old post in a search on floor replacement. Still relevant information, and very helpful. We have a 2010 17B that needs a new floor. (I know you have moved up to a 5.0, but hope you have some information.) Couple of questions:
1.How did it hold up? Any problems with punctures, etc?
2. We had a cork floor in our house which got wet when a pipe broke. It absorbed water and swelled up to the point that we had to remove it. Was your cork waterproof? Did you have any spills that remained long enough to cause it to swell if it was not?
Thanks
Mike

1. It held up wonderfully. Putting on 4 or 5 coats of a good urethane coating protected it well from puncture. One can easily add another coat in a few years if needed or desired.
2. The urethane finish provided a great water seal and we never had any problems from the many times we had water on the floor.
Our 2009 had the stock flooring which was not too nice prompting the change, and we have put a better one in our 2017. If we ever need or want to replace the floor, it would be to cork for sure. Cosy, warm and gorgeous work well for us. :
