5.0 axle mounting

Did Escape use the axle bolt on brackets on the 5.0 or did they weld the axle to the frame. If they used the bolt on brackets has anyone raised a 5.0 using Orbital Machine Works axle spacer blocks?

I've never seen or heard of an Escape with the axle brackets welded to the frame - there are plates which are welded to the frame rails, and the axle is side-bolted to those plates. The plates are not Dexter's side mounting hangers, but work the same way.

Even the first Escape 17' that I saw - a 2006 model - had these mounting plates and a bolted-on Torflex axle; it would be strange if the 5.0 (which was based on the 17') were done differently.

Escape's previous lift kit, Orbital Machine Works' spacer block kit, Dexter Axle's Torflex Lift Kit, or cutom-made spacers or rectangular tubular steel... they should all work on any Torflex-equipped Escape I've seen.

That was supposed to be "custom-made", of course.
