Air conditioner

We have a 2017 21 foot. I have looked for a manual on it but can not find it. I have tried to get it on but I think it is on a cooling fan and not AC. 38" in Osoyoos right now. I have the Dometic Capacitive touch Thermostat. But the directions do not talk about the AC.

Thanks for any help. Judy

Do you have the digital thermostat? If so it should look like the picture when in cooling mode. The fan comes on 1st and then about 10secs later you should hear the hum of the compressor when it kicks on.

Thanks, I did have it on that but it did not seem as cold as I thought it would. It was 100 degrees ferinhiet so maybe I was expecting too much. I am going try it again.

Even at 100F it should cool quite well. It may take a while for it to catch up if you try to cool the trailer down in the heat of the day after the AC has been off and the interior is heat soaked. However it should catch up and within an hour be very comfortable in there. If its still not cooling well then your freon charge may be low or you may have another issue.

I had our 19 out a few weeks ago at a local lake and it was 98F out that afternoon and our Dometic was keeping the trailer interior at 72F with the trailer sitting in full sun. Granted it was having to run continuously to do so during the 3 or 4 hottest hours of the day, but it was holding temp.
