Re: Reloading water system

The missing hose has been located, underneath the screen room in the bottom of the rear storage, but it's 50', not 25'. So, it all comes back to me. I put it there because I thought it would be seldom needed. In fact, it was all logical at the time.

So, I'm thinking, taking an inventory of the contents of each of the cubby holes is in order, at least once a year.

Hi: gbaglo... By opening the hot tap you would have taken 6gals out of the fresh tank and sent it to the hotwater tank...unless the bypass valves were closed...I think I only know for sure how to operate the beer cans in the fridge : Alf

Re: Reloading water system

Was out at Escape this morning checking the progress on Keath's 19. He should have it in a couple of weeks.
So, I asked Reace about the issue with the monitor only showing 2/3 full. He said he had a customer who lived in Mission. He filled his tank and it only read 1/3 full. They checked out all kinds of things to no avail. Anyway, they emptied the tank and refilled it at Escape in Chilliwack and the monitor read full. Reace suspects that it depends on the mineralization of the water whether the sensors get a reading or not.

Re: Reloading water system

Hi there. Been looking at this trailer for a year now and am ordering one this month. I had a 24 ft Prowler for several years and the directions I followed were to flush all the lines for several minutes and then put a quart cup of bleach in the fresh water holding tank and wait at least eight hours and then flush thouroughly. Bought the trailer new and had it ten years and it worked like a charm. Water always tasted great. The holding tank was twenty gallons so I suppose you would have to decrease the amount though.

Re: Reloading water system

Oh you'll love it Milly! More compact perhaps, but solid!!
What is a "quart cup" if I may ask? Sounds like a good procedure every once in a while, particularily in the summer when you might get some bacterial growth in the water tank and lines if not regularily used.
