Storage under the queen bed

I found it to dark under the queen bed
so I ran two 12 volt led strips with glue backing on them.
I placed them on the underside off the bed a had Reece run power to the side door.
Open the door and throw the switch and then let there be light..
I am thinking of different ways to keep bins from siding around under the bed?
Any Ideas
Thanks Geo

Re: Storage under the queen bed

I just use Dot.It lights ( Sylvania, I think ). They are self contained with a battery. No wires. And when I change my mind about the location, they are easily moved. I have one in the cupboard above the fridge. One in the bathroom next to the door ( so I can find the bathroom light ). And, one in the fridge so I can find my beer.

My son did a similar lighting setup in our 19 footer. He used 12 volt rope lighting. When the Escape was being made (hatch?), we asked Reace to install a light switch just inside the left side door. As you know Geo, the lighting is very handy and (pun intended) the difference between night and day!

Re: Storage under the queen bed

As far as bins under the bed slipping, I covered the forward 1/3 of each bin bottom with non-slip plastic shelf liner -- the bumpy stuff. I used double-sticky tape, available at any hardware store. On one side, I have two of the bins ganged together fore-to-aft by tying a bit of cord to each handle. Here's a link to a photo on this site's gallery section: http://escapeforum.org/index.php?act...;sa=item;id=12

Frist A light in the fridge for beer, oh ya
As for under the bed we do alot of gravel road driving, so I am thinking of some kind of a rail system.
So the bins don't slid around, side to side? I think we will try out the rubber liner frist. Sounds easyer

Re: Storage under the queen bed

I store alot of stuff, in different bins,
Plus We have several medical bins for different Oncology kids.
So late at night it is easier than frist looking for a flashlight.
I'm the frist aid attended and all around RV, trailer, tent and equippment mechanic.
So I am always digging for something that has to be way in the back :-)
We do use some push button lights.
