Smile Thank you to Escape Trailer Owners forum

I am constantly amazed at all the great feedback and advice I see on the forum! Kudos to every participating member and particularly the senior members for sharing so much knowledge and experience on so many topics. The forum is without a doubt what convinced us to buy a Escape...thank you all!
Dan

Congratulations on your 19 order. I am not sure if you are flexible on pickup times but Escape has two earlier dates available for a 19... July 25 and August 8th. I am sure just a phone call and you could get your trailer sooner. The August 8 th date would be great so that you could also attend the Boler 50th celebration where they expect 1000 fibreglass trailers to show up...Escapes welcome as well.

It seems every DMV office is different. I had no problem at all, while someone over on the east coast of Florida had to go to several different DMV offices to find one that would process the paper work. And this person was charged tax on the Canadian exchange rate instead of the US rate.
So the idea I guess would be, if one office can't help try another.

We picked up on 8/23/17. I read the forum regularly and we would still consider ourselves newbies, but the great amount of support on the forum amazes me.

Our DMV experience was great, fast, but in and out in 30min...albeit a bit shorter on money after paying the sales tax...

The OP shouldn’t have a problem as he lives in the State Capital. For anyone registering an Escape in Florida prior to pickup, if the local DMV argues that it can’t be done or tries to base the sales tax on the full Canadian figure, tell them they are wrong and insist that they call State DMV. Usually the problem lies with inexperienced clerks, and getting a supervisor involved will solve any issues, but not always. That’s when one should play the “call Tallahassee” card.

Likewise. Sometimes one just has to suck it up and get on with life.
