Water heater

When I returned home for camping I discovered that the heater button on my 19 foot Escape was left on?
The propane was turned off, and there was was water in the hot water tank.
I test ran the water heater when I got home, all is fine.
What if any problems might arise from leaving on the water heater switch/button? (red light on)
Thanks Geo

Re: Water heater

Hmmmmm, interesting question, since I'm sure it's happened many times before. Only thing it might be triggering is the electrode that fires off the propane (that's not flowing). Guess it could burn out the electrode if it continues for a long time Good question.
