I was wondering about that - if your source was saying RMD and you were hearing RMV. However, I doubt that you have misheard x20, but still cannot find mention of that.
Hopefully this will eventually get sorted out.
Understand my trailer delivery is late Aug 2015 and I don't have a propane frig to try and troubleshoot.
Probably 1st thing I'd do is test the 120v heat element. Remove it and get its nameplate wattage then run 120v directly to it. Multiply actual AC voltage and actual amps to get actual watts. Actual watts should be within +-10%of nameplate (youtube videos, FRVTS no1 and no2)
Those videos also show applying 120v directly to the installed 120v heating element (bypassing controls) and running the unit overnight.
Also wondering about gas flame being blown out. Would probably try and test unit with a fan and/or compressed air hose to see what the lower vent area will withstand. Video and photos show those as fairly well baffled/protected.
The top vent cap seems to be the only protection against a downward gust or blast of air and maybe that is how the gas flame is getting blown out. I wonder about installing a small secondary cap just at the top of the flue. I'm saying this because chimneys in canyon lands see large wind gusts and get quite elaborate (not standard caps) to keep smoke from being blown downward.
Again, I do hope all these issues get sorted out.
