No. I want to use all of my propane and let the auto changeover feature do it's job. Switching back and forth is not right. It should be fixed. Unless there is no fix?

I asked cause I had 1 gas bottle that did this on my grill at home, swap to the spare bottle and no hum. When the tanks aged out and were replaced a couple years back the hum stopped and has not returned.
Unfortunately If you don't care to troubleshoot I can't help.

You people that hear various sounds from the propane regulator should consider yourselves lucky that's all you hear. The new house next to me has a natural gas meter and regulator that makes sounds that we can hear with the window closed.

Hmmm, did I mention that they have a boiler for domestic hot water and the swimming pool. I lose in all seasons. Fortunately we can only hear it from the kitchen.

The rubber diaphragm in the regulator is rattling to make the noise. They're sealed units, only fix is to replace.
Swapping bottles might help troubleshoot. If there's much water vapor in a bottle, as the propane expands at the regulator, that can freeze and cause the rubber diaphragm to become stiffer (and rattle.)
Learned from 35 years of scuba diving and dealing with compressed gasses.........
