    You are still going to need to do an actual measurement. Without a lift, the top of the inside of the trailer ball socket should be at 19", at least as of the last time Escape posted it.

    Again, there are so many variations in the truck that one can only guess what will be the right rise/drop. In my case I have the trailer lift and usually carry at least 400 pounds in the truck bed.

    Hi Jon - thought I saw you mention recently that you would be going to Big Bend NP. If you do, and you are at Chisos Basin, would you take a look at the campsites in the lower two loops with an eye to which might accommodate a 5.0TA? It's been many years since we've stayed there, I know there are several sites on the first walk-in loop that would work but also several possibilities on the lower two loops, which are now on the reservation system. Any site which would accommodate our trailer would work, I don't mind parking the truck up at the amphitheater parking area.
