For a fifth-wheel it can be pretty much the same...

For a fifth-wheel it can be pretty much the same thing, set up in the truck bed (for height)... probably using the higher ratio to handle the pin weight. You can use a pipe under the pin the same way...

The Sherline scale is also available under the old "Loadmaster" name as part of the Cequent towing products line (with other stuff such as Draw-Tite hitches); however, I only see the 2000 lb version...
