I agree. A single-axle trailer can do this if the combination of tug suspension and trailer mass, triggered by road bumps, happens to hit a resonant frequency... like car without shock absorbers...

I'm probably sounding like a broken record by this time, but none of these are Equal-i-zer hitches; it would be nice if Escape properly labelled them as "weight distributing hitches".
