I thought that I was the only one doing that. :) ...

I thought that I was the only one doing that. :) So, yes, it's a really convenient way of using it in cases like a gas stop where you maybe only want to pop in and out of the trailer.

I had ours off and on several times for various reasons. 4 bolts hold them on. Shouldn't be too difficult to retro-fit. Worse case would be that you might have to make an adaptor bracket.
